Ford - Small Block
(Also Fits AMC 360-401ci Engines)
This is the most common pump body for small block Ford engines. It will bolt up to front covers from the early 1964 style through 1993 and slightly beyond. It has been used as the heart of many cooling systems and can be coupled with one of several different back plates to complete your system right. 1'' NPT inlet required.
Ford Engine Back Plate Requirements:
- WP112 - Early 221-289ci
- WP113 - Traditional 289ci/5.0L

Technical Specifications: - Belt Drives: If you are running a Yates, Danny B, Jesel, or Race Master cam belt drive on your small block Ford, you will need to use pump part number 680-WP173SHD
- Distributor Belt Drives: Spacers will be necessary to clear belt drive distributor systems.
- Finishing The System: This pump is supplied complete with gaskets and hardware but without the inlet fitting and optional back plate. The fitting needs to be ordered according to the size of the lower radiator hose. A back plate will be required in all applications using a stock-style timing cover.
- Amperage draw: Under normal use, the pump will draw 6-7 amps.
- Overall Height Dimension: The heavy-duty pump is 6.60'' long from the mounting surface to the tip of the pump.
- Pump Weight: This application weighs 5.7 lbs.
Additional Notes: The standard 42GPM pump is suitable for normally aspirated engines up to 650HP. Supercharged, turbocharged, and high compression, high horsepower applications should use the 55GPM High Flow pump only. This model does not accept heaters or bypass hoses as a standard.
