OER MA8173 Fuel Cap 1967-71 Dart, Barracuda, Valiant; Non Vented; Primer; Non EEC/ECS
691-MA8173
OER MA8173 Features:
Reproduction fuel cap for 1967-71 Dodge & Plymouth A-Body models as listed. Each cap is manufactured to correct factory specifications replicating the original in design, appearance, and fitment. This is a non-vented cap comes that comes primered, ready to paint and install. For use on models without ECS (Evaporative Control System) also known as EEC (Evaporative Emission Control).
To determine if your vehicle had ECS originally look at the passenger side of the tank for various tubes sticking out of the tank and look for an expansion chamber inside the tank. If your vehicle's tank does not have these tubes and expansion chamber, then your car is without ECS (also referred to as EEC) and this cap should fit and function properly. If your car does have EEC/ECS, then your car will require part # MF10649 fuel cap.
