This is a mechanically-operated unit which locks when power is applied, giving full power to both tires, and unlocks when you let off the gas. The Lock-Right unit installs into a standard open carrier, offering a lower cost alternative to full-carrier lockers. These units are not recommended for applications with high horsepower or large tires.
4x4 Output from a 4x2 or Extreme 4x4 Performance
This revolutionary design replaces differential spider gears with a coupler gear set that dramatically increases traction. With spider gear differentials, the wheel that has the least amount of traction typically gets full power, which isn't good for a stuck truck. Lock Right Differentials send power to the wheel that has the most traction, enabling escape from almost any situation. Installation time is about an hour; no special tools or setup required because the ring and pinion gears are unaffected.
