Turbocharger
The Precision Turbo PT5858 CEA Street and Race Turbocharger is a premium turbocharger with no shortage of cutting edge technology. The compressor wheel is milled out of 2618 forged aluminum and features Precision Turbo's exclusive Competition Engineered Aerodynamics (CEA) technology. The air-cooled center section utilizes dual ceramic ball bearings for added thrust load capacity and longevity. It also features a billet aluminum backplate for added weight reduction and just plain good looks.
The PT5858 CEA is a whole lot of boost in a small package. It has the ability to produce up to 620 HP in the right application and a pair of them are good for 1000 in a smaller displacement V8 such as a 4.6 modular or 5.3 LS. Twin PT5858's are also a good match for larger small blocks when the power goals are not as high, yet neck-snapping torque is a must. There will be hardly any lag with a pair of these on any V8, but they will put out more than enough power for any street car.
In a single turbo configuration, this is a great option for the Subaru and sport compact guys because of the quick spool up and good torque that is backed up by 500 HP on 25 psi. Especially important in a smaller engine compartment is the fact that this turbo offers excellent performance in an easy-to-manage size.

Set Up Recommendations:
- A PW46 wastegate 234-PBO085-2000J is recommended to effectively control boost.
- Oil should be supplied by a -4 line which is connected to the turbo by 234-PFT047-3039J.
- The recommended oil drain flange is 234-PTP074-2008J and should be connected to a -10 AN oil drain line by fitting 234-PFT047-3009J.
- The PTE specific THV housing will require a V-band turbine inlet flange 234-PTP074-1030J and inlet clamp 234-PTP071-1027J as well as the V-band turbine discharge weld flange 234-PTP074-3050J and discharge clamp 234-PTP071-1029J for manifold and downpipe connections.
- It is always a good idea to cool the boost on with the PTE 600 HP intercooler 234-PIN053-1010J
