Proform's Stud Extracting Tool easily removes those stubborn studs, such as rocker or cylinder head studs. This is a simple to use tool that takes up virtually no space in your tool box. This is the perfect tool for any engine builder or mechanic who needs an easier way to remove difficult studs.

66796 - Proform Stud Extracting Tool is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Proform stud remover This tool claims to easily remove broken rocker arm studs. Says so on the package. I bought this tool to remove a broken screw-in rocker arm stud, as well as the other 15 studs. The idea was to replace all the rocker arm studs. These are the straight style rocker arm studs without the hex nut feature to screw in or remove. This tool appears to be well made and has a half inch drive socket. In actual practice this tool did not work. The cam wheel would not bite into the rocker arm stud enough to gain a firm grip. The cam wheel would slip around the periphery of the stud and not engage it enough to remove. It was the same with the threads on the unbroken threaded rocker arm studs, also. I tried for several hours and different things to get this tool to work. .. No dice. Perhaps this tool will work on regular soft steel studs, but not hardened steel studs.
