    1968-79 Corvette Suspension Systems

This smooth body shock set is specifically developed to fit into your C2 Corvette stock shock locations. They provide a great way to improve ride quality without reworking an entire suspension design.

The RideTech coil-over package includes everything you need to completely upgrade your existing suspension. The package contains front TruTurn System, front MuscleBar, a rear StrongArm System, rear MuscleBar, and RideTech coil-overs, one for every corner of your vehicle. The benefit of buying a complete suspension system is that it takes out all of the guess work when purchasing a new suspension. RideTech has spent numerous hours collecting data to find a perfect spring rate and components for your Corvettes performance and ride quality.

    TruTurn System Features
The New Corvette system offers many advantages over the OEM suspension system... The engineers have put their heart and soul into fabricating a complete suspension design that is a direct bolt in to the C3 Corvettes. Up front the task was to increase camber gain and minimize bump steer.
By utilizing the Ridetech ''tall drop'' spindle and tubular StrongArm control arms with Delrin bushings the ride height was lowered two inches, camber gain was increased to match the requirements of modern tires, the ball joints were updated to a modern style and relocated for increased caster and the correct angle for the lower stance, while the self lubricating Delrin bushings keep things where they should be without required maintenance. RideTech (tall) spindles - It is called a TALL Spindle because the upper ball joint is raised 1-1/2''. Different from the factory design, it yields a better camber change during suspension movement. Pivot points are determined by the ball joints on the spindles and bushing locations on the frame, not the control arms. These spindles are STEEL, the strongest ones in the industry.
The TruTurn system reduces bumpsteer to under 0.060'' and increases steering response by relocating the inner tie rods and replacing the outer tie rods with PTFE lined heim joints. New billet aluminum steering arms are supplied that correct the ackerman which results in a vehicle with amazing turn in and steering feel.
StrongArm tubular control arms not only improve suspension geometry and handling, they also make installation even easier. The added benefit when replacing control arms is new bushings and ball joints. No more worn out components.
Note: The C3 Corvette TruTurn Suspension package uses a GM Spindle used on 1967-69 Camaro (F-body), 1964-72 Chevelle (A-body), and 1968-74 Nova (X-body). Any Brake Kit designed to fit the OEM Disc Brake Spindle of the listed cars will fit the Spindle in your TruTurn System. Stock Corvette Brakes Will Not Work With This System.

    C2 Rear StrongArm System Features
The rear suspension system utilizes an offset trailing arm with a "trussed" design which allows maximum tire width while providing the utmost in strength. The rear trailing arm is outfitted with a rubber bushing in the standard configuration to mitigate NVH, while a bearing option is offered that provides the maximum in handling performance. When combined with the tubular rear cross member the trailing arms place the coil overs to the rear of the axle for better motion ratio and damping control while providing additional height adjustment via the movable lower coil over mounts. The new strut rods utilize PTFE lined heim joints which are repositioned on the axle end to maximize suspension geometry and provide adjustability without needing to be removed.

    MuscleBar Swaybars
The splined MuscleBar bolts to the frame and provides maximum adjustment via multiple mounting holes in the sway bar arms as well as the ability to quickly and easily change sway bar rates. MuscleBars are only included in the Level 3 systems.

The Level 1 Shock System includes Ridetech ''HQ'' series shocks only and bolts on in minutes. The HQ (Handling Quality) Series shocks adds rebound adjustment for the driver who wants to tune ride quality AND handling quality to their specific taste. A wide rebound adjustment range allows you to cruise down the road in plush comfort or firm up your suspension for those Saturday morning canyon roads!

    HQ Series Shock Features:

    • Aluminum impact forged construction allows leak free operation
    • Single rebound shock valving adjustment
    • Monotube design for superior oil control
    • Easy & precise valve adjustment with 26 rebound clicks
    • Designed to fit stock Corvette suspension components only. Will not work with StrongArm conversion.

The Level 2 Coil-Over Complete System includes Ridetech Single Adjustable HQ (Handling Quality) series shocks on all 4 corners. The Level 2 system provides more adjustment and performance potential for both track use and ride quality. For anyone looking for a system that runs well right out of the box while leaving the opportunity for quick adjustments, we recommend this kit.

    HQ Series Coil-Over Features:

    • Aluminum impact forged construction allows leak free operation
    • Single rebound shock valving adjustment
    • Monotube design for superior oil control
    • Easy & precise valve adjustment with 26 rebound clicks

The Level 3 Coil-Over Complete System is Ridetech's performance system and it includes their ''TQ'' (Track Quality) series shocks. This combination is recommended for extreme track use and for drivers who want to take the extra time to fine tune their suspension system. Ridetech TQ shock line goes beyond the typical double adjustable units that have been popular; the TQ shock has a single rebound adjustment and a DUAL stage [high speed and low speed] compression adjustment. It uses a remote reservoir that is connected with a 30-inch braided line for easy installation in a variety of installation applications. The high speed adjustment allows tuning for impact harshness... potholes, speedbumps, offroad use and other harsh road irregularities that might induce a high speed excursion of the piston rod. The low speed adjustment allows tuning of ride quality, as well as the general cornering characteristics of typical road course and racetrack use. It is currently the ultimate choice for autocrossing, track days, drag racing, and other extreme environment use.

    TQ Series Coil-Over Features:

    • Single rebound adjustment PLUS dual stage high & low speed compression
    • Aluminum impact forged shock construction for leak free operation
    • Monotube design allows large piston for superior oil control, ride quality, and handling
    • Remote reservoir includes mounting brackets for easy installation
