    Subframe Connectors

Steeda Full length subframe connectors have been improved with a new one-piece reinforced cross brace. Some subframe cross braces have 8 individual gussets which must be carefully positioned and welded on. Still other kits use no reinforcements at all. Steeda cross braces now have reinforcing gussets built-in, for greater strength with less welding.

These true full-length connectors run the entire length of the floor pan for increased chassis rigidity, better handling and improved ride. The beefy 1.25 by 2 inch connectors are perfect for serious cars with high horsepower, sticky tires or competition suspension. They are reinforced at each bend and include Steeda's exclusive torque box reinforcing plate for a stronger attachment to the rear subframe.

Full-length subframe connectors are available in bare steel or a black powder coat finish.

Steeda Subframe Connectors and IRS Braces

Whether your Mustang only gets driven to the grocery store or driven hard on the road course or drag strip, every 79-2004 Mustang needs subframe connectors! Steeda's full length subframe connectors are the best full length subframe connectors available for your 1979-2004 Mustang. Perfect for daily drivers, or serious cars with high horsepower, sticky tires or competition suspension.

For the Mustangs with an independent rear suspension (IRS) Steeda also has Rear Subframe braces. They provide improvement in handling and eliminates flexing of the IRS subframe system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The people of the interwebs were right! It seems like everyone on every Mustang forum will say, "the first mod to do to your SN95 is Sub frame connectors" and I must say this does wonders for the car and the internet didn't lie. Yes the car still has terrible suspension geometry and a live axle, but..... a solid chassis allows that terrible suspension to work and move as intended. Install took a while for me, as i had a small welder, and grinding and fitting the Sub frame connectors to by bent up frame rails took some patience.. worth it, maybe 10hrs start to finish for a home hack. But despite using the 90amp from harbor freight, the welds are ugly, (so ugly) but they are holding, no cracks yet after maybe 500miles. so I have my hopes up. Anyway, I picked these over the MM ones due to the Torque boxes being included and reinforcement plates being installed already. I made another tab out of scrap metal to put on the inside front of the rails as i had a big gap there. Recommended for handling before springs/dampers/swaybars, these will let those work properly once installed.. much more stable and quiet ride!
