The Aldan American Universal 4-link suspension kits are designed to replace the harsh rear leaf spring suspension in your older hot rod, muscle car or truck with a track proven adjustable coil-over suspension. They are available in both a triangulated and parallel style that require some fabrication and welding but are a simple and very effective way to upgrade to a real coil spring or air bag style suspension set-up.

The Triangulated 4-Link suspension is the most popular street car set-up since it does not require a panhard bar to locate the rear axle. The upper bars are installed at an angle to provide the upper links and center the axle at the same time. This design, made of weaker, more flexible stamped steel, can be found on many factory GM and Ford coil spring suspension cars. Aldan uses DOM tubing and Tig welded, precision laser cut brackets to improve on this OEM proven design.
The Parallel 4-Link suspension is more commonly found on drag racing or street rod applications where there is no room for the upper links to be installed at an angle. This system uses a panhard bar to position the rear axle from side to side and for the novice installer can be easier to visualize, understand and install since there are fewer mounts to configure. The same frame brackets and axle brackets mount both upper and lower links.
