A stock Chevrolet fuel pump pushrod can "float" at high engine speeds just like a heavy intake valve. Racers know that reducing valve-train weight allows higher rpm operations; similarly, reducing the fuel pump pushrod's reciprocating weight allows it to follow the camshaft lobe more closely. A Lightweight Fuel Pump Pushrod helps a mechanical fuel pump do its job when the tach climbs past 6000 rpm. Made from 4130 chrome moly steel tubing.
