- Daystar Control Arm Bushings
Modern independent suspension designs utilizing control arms offer several benefits over older, heavier solid-axle designs. Unfortunately this design creates more moving parts, and all of the parts depend upon the control arm bushings for smooth operation and reliable control of the vehicle. These bushings at the pivot points for the control arms are constantly moving. This will cause the bushings to wear out sooner than most other bushings on the vehicle. Worn out control arm bushings can cause suspension noise and clunking while cornering, instability of the wheels while cornering, and the inability to hold an alignment. Daystar polyurethane control arm bushings are significant upgrades over the rubber bushings most manufacturers use in their independent suspension set ups. The polyurethane bushings are more resistant to vehicle fluids and road grime than rubber bushings, and they provide less deflection under load. These bushings make the perfect upgrade when replacing worn factory bushings and for high-load applications, such as heavy hauling or vehicles that frequently go off-road.
