- RAM Sintered Iron Clutch Discs
From Bracket to Stock Eliminator to Fast Street up to 1000 horsepower, RAM single iron clutch discs are an economical choice for racers. Available in a hard (5135) or soft (5191) compound, both allow the clutch to "slip" as needed in order to smoothly launch a vehicle without overpowering tires. Sintered iron is known for its ability to withstand some slippage and not lose its coefficient of friction. It is the material of choice for high-horsepower clutch applications in drag racing and truck pulling. These discs should only be used with RAM steel or aluminum flywheels; otherwise, excessive wear to the friction surface will occur. Another key benefit of competition sintered iron is that it can be maintained. If the clutch is slipped too much, the disc can be resurfaced and reused.
