The Reid Racing Super Hydra 400 Transmission Case is designed as a direct replacement for the GM TH400 transmission case while correcting all of the weak points and including additional features. An incredibly expensive permanent mold casting technique has been employed to increase the case wall thickness allowing this unit to be extremely strong, accurate, porrosity free castings that are SFI 4.1 certified without the need for an external shield or blanket. The modular two piece design allows this case to be used with all popular engines by simply changing bolt-on Superglide bellhousings!
