10-bolt cover When replacing a stock 2.56 and numerically lower ratio, the carrier must be replaced with a carrier of 2.73 or higher. Fits: 70-76 Bel-Air/Caprice/Impala/Chevelle/Olds F-85, 73-76 El Camino, 70-75 Nova, 70-81 Camaro/Firebird/GTO, 72-81 Z-28/Trans-Am, 77-87 K10/K20 (front), 77-91 Blazer (front), 80-02 C10/K10/Blazer/C1500/K1500 (rear), 80-96 Suburban (rear), 77-91 Suburban (front), 79-96 G10/G20 Van Use installation kit P/N 836-83-1021-1 (rear) and 836-83-1020-1 (front), 836-83-1021-M, 836-83-1021-TE (Truck 73-87) Will NOT work with pinion mounted ABS sensor in 1990-96 Impala, Impala SS, or Caprice.

3-Series fits 3.23 and numerically higher carrier. Fits: 77-02 All GM models, 82-02 Camaro/Z-28/Firebird/Trans-Am, 83-02 S-10/S-15 (rear), 85-02 Astro/Safari, 77-87 El Camino (Will not fit Monza, etc.) Use installation kit P/N 836-83-1016-1 or 836-83-1016-M for 1977-81 models. 836-83-1044-1 or 836-83-1044-M for 1982-98 models.
