Walker Products Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensors are precision manufactured from premium components in an ISO 9001-2008/TS16949 certified facility. Depending on the manufacturer MAP sensors are also referred to as a manifold differential pressure sensor (MDP) or barometric pressure sensor (BPS). The manifold absolute pressure sensor uses a changing electrical resistance value to measure intake manifold pressure/vacuum and sends this information to the onboard computer. The computer uses this data and other inputs to calculate and correct the fuel delivery amount.
