Ecommerce Java Developer

JEGS Automotive, Inc., an industry leader in the distribution of after market high performance auto parts and accessories, is searching for a self motivated professional with proven success developing Java based ecommerce projects. The candidate must possess 3 to 5 years of previous Java development experience in a direct-to-consumer ecommerce environment. Experience in application development using WebSphere Commerce is also required. A BS in Computer Science is preferred.

Responsibilities Include (Candidates must have experience with the following):

• Packaging and deploying Java applications using Websphere Application Server.
• Application architecture, design, and development concepts and best practices.
• Java J2EE based development/support in mission-critical application environment, including web services, XML processing tools, Javascript and HTML.
• Testing Java and web based applications, including unit, integration, system, and customer acceptance testing based on defined test plans with specific requirements-driven test cases.
• Developing and deploying in a multi-tiered and multi-server application architecture.

Strong candidates will also possess:

• Experience in application architecture, design, development, testing, implementation and documentation of web based application using Java.
• Experience with object oriented principles and concepts.
• Experience with application servers and web services.
• Experience in using DB2 and developing and executing SQL.

Desired Skills

• Experience with Endeca search framework.
• Experience with web based credit card authorization such as Verified by Visa, Mastercard Secure and PayPal.
