Three Separate Performance Programs

With the introduction of Evolution Programmers, Edge has entered the next generation of technology in the aftermarket diesel industry. Evolution Programmers improve drivability, deliver significant horsepower and torque gains, and can adjust speed and rev limiters. Compact and lightweight, they allow personalized control with just the touch of a button and feature a backlit LCD to read (and clear) diagnostic trouble codes and their descriptions; 0-60 and quarter-mile times; and key parameters, such as transmission and oil temperatures, RPM, and exhaust back pressure. The Evolution is the first programmer to keep working once the ECU is flashed. It connects directly to the OBD-II port underneath the dash. Once the stock program is downloaded (a backup is automatically created), the new Evolution software is uploaded to the ECM. All modifications are done during this process, but settings can be returned to stock anytime. Though only three power levels (Tow, Race, Extreme), there are hundreds of built-in files designed to optimize your vehicle's performance. The following gains are representative of a Ford 7.3L:
