Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2nd review I reviewed this previously and now that I've had it on my car for a few weeks in rain and windy conditions I can elaborate further. Pretty easy ro install as I was able to line up roof bars holes in carrier. I had to drill out holes a bit more to easily put the clamps through. I added rubber washers on the outside bottom of carrier to seal the holes the clamps go through. I also added some lock washers inside the carrier to lock the knobs tight. Driving in normal conditions there is slight wind noise, not too bad. In more windy conditions more noise and you can feel the car wanting to drift more. This is all with an empty carrier. Still wind noise not too bad, sounds like you have a window slightly cracked. We recently had a lot of rain over the past week and carrier stayed dry even though there are gaps around all four locks. It's nice that the locks act as hinges so you can open on either side and there is a clamp on the front to keep lid closed or from flying off at freeway speeds. I read other reviews that the locks will sometimes unlock themselves or are a little sticky unlocking or locking them. I did have one time where one lock unlocked by it self upon inspection after opening it from the other side. Hasn't happened since but when opening carrier make sure once you close and lock the side you opened go around and make sure all locks are still in locked position and also clamp front of carrier. Then no worries the lid will fly off when driving. So far so good. I will probably take carrier and roof bars off when not needed. Mileage didn't seem to be affected too much but I haven't driven a lot of miles and I have a plug in hybrid so even if mileage dropped I still get great mpg. I have noticed a drop in all electric driving but still not bad and worth the extra cargo space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS CARRIER FOR CAMPING GEAR We have a 2017 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER but still needed a bit more room to take along all the camping gear necessary to go GLAMPING with our two dogs. We chose this carrier and have been very happy with it after getting install finished. Unfortunately, the Highlanders already had installed fixed roof rails and they are did not line up with the holes for the attachment brackets. So, I had to do a bit of geometry and drill 4 new holes. I put pieces of duct tape over the pre drilled holes. We have drove approx. 500 miles, on multiple GLAMPING trips in all types of weather. Not a drop of wetness! Sunroof totally usable. Only regret is not being able to go through the automated carwash since I am leaving it on through summer as we go to the campground almost every other week in the summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent box! Just stuck this on, was very easy even with having to drill 2 new guide holes. Opening is a bit tricky but manageable. Fits on my '95 Buick Regal. Installed the racks at a 28in offset. This went on no problems, and holds everything previously in the trunk. Definitely recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from :Locking issues We chose to order the 90093 unit because several reviews of the 90098 side lock unit indicated issues with locking difficulty. With the front of the 90093 being hinged and the ability to latch both sides and add locks of our own we felt there would be little chance of the top opening even if the rear lock failed. As it turned out, we were unable to set the rear lock after the unit was loaded. We drilled small holes in the unit and attached cable ties to assure that the rear stayed closed. Good note - we drove 1900 miles and had no issues. And even with windy conditions our Honda CR-V did not suffer a significant drop in gas mileage.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from One woman's experience with Jegs Initial connection from top to bottom was a struggle, but even after completing and mounting, one side still came apart while loading. Bars to keep lid open are difficult to click into and out of. Security with a thin clip was a joke. Easy mounting u-bars onto car, once I paid to have someone assist me in putting it together first..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Top flew off This is only the second time using and the top flew off while on the interstate. Luckily no one was harmed and our belongings did not come out but the top is down a ravine. We noticed the front lock would unlock itself.
