Performance Automatic Street Smart TH350 / 700R4 Transmissions Performance Automatic Stage 1 Street Smart TH350 / 700R4 - Rated to 450 Horsepower Forward Drum - 5 Alto forward clutches, clearance for forward clutch pack set to .030"-.045", 4 flat steels and 1 waved cushion steel, for a smoother engagement. All return springs are used. Direct Drum - 5 Alto direct clutches, 5 flat new steels, clearance for the direct clutch pack.050-.070. An extra wide drum bushing is added for better support. All return springs are used. Intermediate Clutches - 3 Alto Intermediate clutches, 3 flat steels & 1 waved cushion steel for a smoother engagement and it helps keep the intermediate sprag race from breaking.
Low/Reverse Section - Hand picked planets, input integral gear, reaction carrier, reaction carrier shaft, hand picked reaction sun gear & sun shell, internal reaction gear, internal reaction gear support, sun shell, 5 Alto clutches, 5 steels, HD bronze rear case bushing, new extension housing bushing and new gear on the governor. Valve Body - Trans-Go Performance Shift kit modified to street/strip specifications to give more holding capacity. Modified accumulators to give the best possible part throttle shifts, and progressively firmer shifts with more throttle opening. The late design Sealed Power (filtran zero-leak) filter is used in this transmission. An adjustable modulator is used to fine tune part throttle shifts. Transmission Pan - Chrome pan with a drain plug for easy servicing when its time to change fluid. Performance Automatic Stage 2 Street Smart TH350 / 700R4 - Rated to 550 Horsepower Forward Drum - 5 Alto Red Eagle forward clutches, clearance for forward clutch pack ste to .030"-.045", 4 flat steels and 1 waved cushion steel, for a smoother engagement. All return springs used. Direct Drum - 5 Alto Red Eagle direct clutches, 5 flat Kolene steels, clearance for the direct clutch pack set to .050"-.070". Red Line band used. An extra wide drum bushing is added for better support. All return springs used. These Performance Automatic transmissions are designed for Street Rods, Resto-Mods or Street Machines. These units are configured to meet or exceed current offerings in the market place. Not intended for all out race vehicles or for extended use above the recommended horsepower ratings.
