Nitrous System Components
Nitrous system components let you build, tune, or repair your nitrous setup with jets, solenoids, nozzles, foggers, filters, hoses, and fittings. You'll find replacement parts for existing kits and upgrade hardware for drag cars, street/strip builds, and DIY projects. Use the Part Type, Brand, Size, and vehicle fitment filters to narrow the list to parts that match your system.

Which Nitrous System Components Make Up a Complete Setup?
A complete nitrous setup includes a bottle, feed line, filter, solenoids, jets, and a nozzle, fogger, or plate that delivers nitrous into the engine. Complete nitrous oxide kits package these parts together. Individual nitrous parts let you replace a worn piece or upgrade one area at a time. Here's what you'll find in this category:
- Jets that meter nitrous and fuel to set the horsepower level
- Solenoids that open on demand to release nitrous or fuel
- Nozzles and foggers that spray nitrous, or nitrous and fuel, into the intake
- Filters that keep debris out of solenoids and jets
- Hoses and fittings that carry nitrous from the bottle to the solenoids
- Brackets that hold solenoids and switches in place
The bottle itself, along with its related hardware, lives in a separate category. Shop nitrous bottles and bottle components when you need to replace or upgrade that end of the system.
How to Choose Nitrous Jets and Jet Packs
Choose nitrous jets by matching jet sizes to your target horsepower on the kit manufacturer's nitrous jet chart. Jets are sized orifices, and on a wet system the nitrous jet and fuel jet work as a pair to set the shot size. Don't guess at values.
NOS stainless flare jets come in many sizes, including .020, .030, .046, .062, .071, .083, and .087. Use them to replace a single jet or fine-tune one side of the circuit. NOS nitrous funnel jets are also available for systems that use that style.
If you want matched jets for several power levels, a jet pack is the simpler buy. The NOS Cheater Jet Pack covers 150, 180, 210, and 250HP, and the Pro Shot/Race Fogger Jet Pack covers 150, 175, and 250HP. For high-horsepower builds, the Pro-Race Fogger Jet Pack covers 250, 300, 350, and 450+HP. To see where jets fit in the bigger picture, learn how nitrous oxide systems work.
Nitrous Solenoids, Brackets and Mounting Hardware
A nitrous solenoid is the electrically controlled valve that releases nitrous or fuel when you activate the system. Wet systems use a nitrous solenoid and a fuel solenoid, while dry systems use a nitrous solenoid only. Each one needs a solid mount so it stays put and your lines route cleanly.
The NOS solenoid bracket mounts solenoids 16020 and 16080, which makes it a direct fit for kits that use those parts. Nitrous Express offers custom solenoid brackets for cleaner packaging. It also offers WOT switch brackets, which position the wide-open-throttle switch so the system activates only at full throttle.
If you want more say in when nitrous comes in, pair your solenoids with nitrous oxide controllers. Before you order a replacement solenoid or bracket, confirm the part number your kit uses. That way the mounting holes, fittings, and wiring line up the first time you bolt it in.
Nitrous Lines, Fittings and Filters
Nitrous lines, fittings, and a nitrous filter carry nitrous from the bottle to the solenoids and keep debris out along the way. Stainless-steel braided hose is a common feed-line choice, and the AN size tells you the hose and fitting diameter.
Nitrous Outlet stainless-steel braided hoses come in 3AN, 4AN, 6AN, and 8AN. Nitrous Outlet 1/8 in. NPT x 6AN swivel fittings connect braided lines to NPT ports, and Nitrous Outlet hard-line kits run from the solenoids to the plate. Nitrous Express D-6 stainless braided -06AN nitrous hose is another feed-line option.
The NOS Hi-Flo in-line nitrous filter installs in the feed line to protect solenoids and jets. A nitrous purge kit also plumbs into the feed line and clears gaseous nitrous so liquid reaches the solenoid. Use the Inlet/Outlet Size filter to match fittings to hoses, and browse other air and fuel delivery parts for fuel-side upgrades.
Wet vs Dry Nitrous Nozzles and Foggers
A wet nitrous nozzle sprays nitrous and fuel together, while a dry nozzle sprays nitrous only and relies on your fuel system. Wet setups carry their own fuel jet and solenoid. Dry setups keep the plumbing simpler, but your fuel system has to supply the extra fuel.
A nitrous fogger is a wet-style nozzle that mixes nitrous and fuel as it sprays. Direct port systems take this further with an individual nozzle at each cylinder. NOS dry nitrous nozzles suit dry setups, and the NOS fogger jet packs above match fogger-style systems.
Confirm your system type before you order, since swapping a wet nozzle for a dry one changes how the engine gets its fuel. To compare complete layouts, browse nitrous oxide systems. For build and tuning guidance, read our power adder tech articles.

Frequently Asked Questions About Nitrous System Components
Do I need a nitrous purge kit?
A purge kit isn't required for a nitrous system to run. It removes gaseous nitrous from the feed line so liquid nitrous reaches the solenoid when you activate the system. If you want liquid nitrous ready from the start of every pass, a purge is worth adding.
How long will a 10 lb nitrous bottle last?
It depends on your shot size and how long each run lasts. Larger shots and longer pulls use nitrous faster, so the bottle empties sooner on a high-horsepower setup. Follow your kit manufacturer's guidance for consumption estimates.
Can I upgrade parts on an existing nitrous kit?
Yes, you can swap jets, add a filter, upgrade hoses, or change brackets on an existing kit. Jet changes should follow the kit manufacturer's jet chart so nitrous and fuel stay matched. If you're moving to a higher power level, confirm your solenoids, lines, and fuel system can support it.
Are nitrous parts from different brands interchangeable?
Some parts share common standards, such as AN hose sizes and NPT fittings, so hoses and fittings often work across systems. Jets, solenoids, and nozzles are usually system-specific. Check each part's listed compatibility before you mix brands, and stick with your kit manufacturer's parts when in doubt.
How do I know which nitrous components fit my vehicle?
Use the vehicle fitment selector to enter your Year, Make, and Model and narrow the list to compatible parts. You can then refine results with the Part Type, Brand, Product Line, Material, Size, and Inlet/Outlet Size filters. For parts that aren't vehicle-specific, such as jets and fittings, match the size and thread to your existing system.
