Effective Date: August 17, 2026
Last Updated: August 17, 2026
Introduction
This Policy describes the practices of JEGS High Performance (“JEGS,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) regarding the privacy of visitors to and customers of jegs.com (the “Website”). We respect your right to privacy and your desire for a secure online shopping experience.
Our postal address is: JEGS High Performance 101 Jegs Place Delaware, OH 43015
1. Information We Collect and How It’s Used
We collect aggregate information about visits to our pages, which helps us improve the content of our Website.
When you purchase a product on jegs.com, we ask you for the following information: name, billing and shipping address, phone number, email address, and payment card information. This information is used to process your order and, if necessary, to contact you for help while processing your order. All information we collect is stored in a secure database.
JEGS also collects email addresses to confirm that we received your order and to send notifications of special offers and promotions (see Section 5, Email Marketing Consent).
1.1 Automatically Collected Information
When you visit the Website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical and usage information using cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, device ID, browser and operating system information, pages viewed, referring/exit URLs, and timestamps. This supports Website functionality, security, analytics, and marketing (see Sections 4 and 6).
2. About Children (Under 18)
For their protection, we ask that children do not submit information to us without the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a manner inconsistent with applicable law. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us at [email protected] or the address above.
3. Secure Shopping
We use industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology through our digital certificate provider to help protect your information. Your payment card information is encrypted while traveling over the internet. Please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Disclosure of Information Policy
We never make your email address available to any other company or organization for that company’s own marketing purposes.
If you supply us with your postal address, you may receive periodic mailings of catalogs from JEGS. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, please let us know by calling or writing us at the address above. If you have supplied us with your postal address, we do not share your name and address with other companies for their own marketing purposes.
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money, and we do not rent it or disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes without providing notice and, where required, choice. However, as described in Section 4.4, we use analytics and advertising technologies and disclose personal information to third-party advertising and analytics platforms in connection with those technologies. Under certain state privacy laws, these disclosures may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You may opt out of such sale or sharing by electing your preferences in our cookie banner, as described in Section 4.4.
4.1 Marketing Recognition Partners
We engage a third-party partner for the purpose of identifying users and delivering marketing to them on our behalf (e.g., email or direct mail). Our partners may collect information directly from your devices, such as your IP address, device ID, and information about your browser or operating system; may combine personal and non-personal information about you with information from other sources; and may place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser. This activity enables them to identify you to facilitate the delivery of marketing on our behalf.
To opt out of recognition services, please go to https://idx.listrakbi.com/opt-out.html.
To opt out of recognition services, please go to https://zetaglobal.com/rights-request/.
To opt out of third-party cookies, please go to http://www.aboutads.info/choices.
4.2 Other Disclosures
We may also disclose personal information: (a) to service providers and vendors who help us operate the Website, process orders, process payments, deliver communications, and provide analytics; (b) to comply with applicable law, legal process, or lawful governmental requests; (c) to detect, prevent, or respond to fraud or security issues; (d) to protect the rights, property, or safety of JEGS, our customers, or others; and (e) in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4.3 Cookie Consent and Preference Management
When you first visit jegs.com, you may be presented with a cookie consent banner that explains our use of cookies and similar technologies and allows you to make choices about the categories of cookies we use. Through our cookie consent management tool, you can elect your preferences—accepting all cookies, rejecting all non-essential cookies, or customizing your choices by category (such as strictly necessary, functional/preference, analytics/performance, and marketing/advertising cookies). Strictly necessary cookies are required for the Website to operate (for example, to enable secure checkout and remember items in your cart) and cannot be disabled, but you may accept or decline the other categories. You can revisit and change your selections at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" (or "Cookie Settings") link located in the footer of our Website, and you may also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Because your preferences are stored in a cookie on the device and browser you are using, you may need to update your choices again if you clear your cookies, use a different device, or switch browsers. Please note that declining certain cookies may affect the functionality, performance, or personalization of your experience on the Website.
4.4 Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking Technologies
In addition to the cookies described above, we and our advertising and analytics partners use a variety of tracking technologies—including cookies, web beacons, pixels, tags, software development kits (SDKs), and server-to-server (conversions) application programming interfaces (APIs)—to measure and analyze traffic on the Website, understand how visitors interact with our content, deliver and measure advertising, and build audiences for marketing and remarketing. In connection with these technologies, we disclose personal information to the third-party advertising and analytics platforms identified below. The information disclosed may include online identifiers, device identifiers, IP address, cookie and pixel identifiers, information about your browsing and interactions on the Website (such as pages viewed, products browsed, and purchases), and, in some cases, hashed contact information (such as a hashed email address) that we upload to a platform to match you to your account with that platform for audience targeting and measurement.
The following third-party platforms help us operate these analytics and advertising activities. Each platform processes data under its own terms, which govern the platform’s obligations and the parties’ respective privacy responsibilities:
Google Ads
Google Analytics
Microsoft Advertising
Meta
Criteo
Notice Regarding “Sale” or “Sharing” of Personal Information. Because we disclose personal information to these advertising and analytics platforms in connection with cross-context behavioral advertising, audience matching, and measurement, these disclosures may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (or the processing of personal information for “targeted advertising”) under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and under other state privacy laws (including those of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws). We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money; however, these disclosures may still qualify as a “sale” or “sharing” because the platforms may use the information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Your Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing. You have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information and of targeted advertising. You may exercise this right at any time by:
Electing your preferences in our cookie banner when you first visit jegs.com—specifically, by rejecting the marketing/advertising (and, where offered, analytics/performance) cookie categories, which disables the advertising and analytics technologies that result in a sale or sharing;
Returning to the Cookie Preferences (or Cookie Settings) link in the footer of the Website at any time to review or change your selections;
Enabling a browser-based Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we will treat as a valid request to opt out of sale/sharing for the browser and device on which it is enabled; and
Using the platform-specific opt-outs described in Section 4.1 (https://idx.listrakbi.com/opt-out.html and http://www.aboutads.info/choices).
Because your cookie-based preferences are stored on the specific device and browser you are using, you may need to opt out again if you clear your cookies, use a different device, or switch browsers. Declining these technologies will not prevent you from making purchases on the Website, though it may affect the relevance of the advertising you see.
5. Email Marketing Consent
By completing a purchase on jegs.com, you acknowledge and agree that your email address may be added to our marketing communications list. This can include promotional emails, special offers, product updates, and other relevant communications. You may withdraw your consent and opt out of marketing emails at any time by:
Selecting the “Unsubscribe” link in any marketing email from JEGS; or
Updating your preferences through the email preference center, accessible via all marketing emails and on our Website.
Withdrawing consent for marketing emails does not affect our ability to send necessary transactional communications, including order confirmations, order cancellations, shipping updates, recalls, and customer service-related messages. Your decision to opt out of marketing emails does not impact your ability to complete future transactions with JEGS. By proceeding with a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
If you require further assistance unsubscribing from marketing emails, you may contact our Customer Service team by calling 1-800-345-4545 during business hours:
Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 8:30 PM EST
Saturday & Sunday: Closed

6. Text Messaging (SMS/MMS) Program and Use of Phone Numbers for Marketing
JEGS may offer a text messaging program that allows you to receive marketing and promotional messages (such as special offers, product updates, and cart reminders) at the mobile phone number you provide.
Consent. Enrollment in the text messaging program requires your express opt-in consent. Providing your mobile number for this program is not a condition of any purchase.
Message Frequency and Rates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.
How to Opt Out. You may cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact Customer Service at 1-800-345-4545.
Information Collected. In connection with the program, we may collect your mobile phone number, your carrier, and information about your interaction with our messages (such as delivery and response data).
Information gathered through the text messaging program will not be shared with 3rd parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. We use this information solely to operate the text messaging program and provide the communications you have requested, and to support the program (e.g., through our SMS platform provider acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations).
7. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence and subject to applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. States that have enacted comprehensive consumer privacy laws include California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Tennessee, Iowa, Delaware, Indiana, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Maryland, and others. Where applicable, you may have the right to:
Know / Access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it;
Correct inaccurate personal information;
Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
Data Portability — obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
Opt Out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising (as described in Section 4.4, our use of analytics and advertising technologies may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information, and you may opt out through our cookie banner);
Limit the use of sensitive personal information;
Non-Discrimination for exercising your privacy rights; and
Appeal a denial of a privacy request where required by law.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected], call 1-800-345-4545, or write to us at the postal address above. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request, subject to verification.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
This section provides additional disclosures required by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA”), for California residents.
8.1 Your CCPA Rights
As a California resident, you have the right to:
Right to Know — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the business/commercial purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it;
Right to Delete — request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
Right to Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information;
Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing — JEGS does not sell your personal information for money. However, as described in Section 4.4, our use of analytics and advertising technologies (including the platforms listed there) involves disclosures of personal information that may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may opt out by electing your preferences in our cookie banner or using the tools in Sections 4.1 and 4.4;
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — where applicable;
Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights; and
Right to Authorized Agent — you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Shine the Light (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83). California residents may request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. As stated above, we do not share your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

8.4 Sources and Purposes
We collect the above categories from you directly (orders, account registration, communications), automatically (cookies and similar technologies), and from service providers and marketing partners. We use this information for the business purposes described throughout this Policy, including order fulfillment, customer service, marketing, analytics, security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
9. Fraud Alerts
JEGS wants to help you stay safe from common scams.
Phishing. A fraud method in which the fraudster sends a legitimate-looking email in an attempt to gather personal and financial information from recipients. The fraudulent email might look just like a legitimate JEGS email (including use of the JEGS logo). If the customer takes the bait, the thief could obtain credit card numbers, PINs, expiration dates, bank account numbers, and even Social Security numbers.
Vishing. Similar to phishing, but over the phone. The fraudster typically pretends to be a legitimate business and fools the customer into thinking they will profit—such as through a Secret Shopper Scam. Fraudsters pose as a trusted retailer or bank and obtain personal information by requesting that the customer “verify” information on file. That information is then used to generate fraudulent transactions.
Smishing. A combination of “SMS” and “phishing”—fraudulent messages sent over text messaging rather than email. The fraudster may text you saying you’ve won a free gift card. Remember, you can’t win a contest you didn’t enter. JEGS does not notify winners of any contest via text message.
A good rule of thumb: If someone contacts you to verify your personal information, it is very likely you did not provide it to them in the first place, and it is not a legitimate request. Legitimate companies will not expect you to provide your Social Security number or other personal information when they call you. If you receive a call like this, do not provide any information. If in doubt, call back a trusted number for the company—such as one on a statement or invoice, the back of your credit/debit card, or on their official website (not one sent through a suspicious email). Do not use the phone number provided by the person on the phone.
9.1 Tips to Avoid These Scams
Never provide personal information in response to an unsolicited request, whether over the phone or the internet.
Do not respond to any suspicious-looking email, automated call, or text message. A trusted company will never ask a customer for sensitive information over a call you didn’t initiate.
Don’t trust the Caller ID. Fraudsters can manipulate Caller ID to display a legitimate business’s name. To be safe, check whether the phone number matches the number on your bank statement, credit/debit card, or phone book.
If a credit/debit card company actually calls to notify you of suspicious charges, they will not ask for your personal information. Instead, they will verify that they have reached the cardholder and ask for them by name, and may ask the cardholder to verify the last 4 digits of their Social Security Number (they will NOT ask for the entire Social, Account, Expiration, or PIN). They will then verify whether you made that particular charge. If anything sounds suspicious, hang up and call your financial institution directly.
Avoid fraudulent sites by entering web addresses directly into the browser yourself or by using bookmarks you create.
If you have fallen victim to such a scam and given out your personal account information, contact your financial institution immediately to protect your accounts, block your cards, fill out a fraud affidavit, and take other protective measures as necessary.
9.2 More Tips
Don’t respond or reply to an email, phone call, or text message that:
Requires you to supply personal or account information directly in the email;
Threatens to close or suspend your account if you do not take immediate action;
Invites you to answer a survey that asks you to enter personal or account information;
States that your account has been compromised or that there has been third-party activity on your account, then asks you to enter or confirm your personal or account information;
States that there are unauthorized charges on your account, then asks you to provide your personal or account information; or
Asks you to enter your User ID, password, account numbers, PIN, or card expiration dates into an email, webpage, or text message.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, additional notice on the Website. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
