Pull-Thru Cap - These are installed by pushing the center cap through the center hole from the back of the wheel. It is secured by wedging its lip between the wheel and the vehicle hub when the wheel nuts are tightened.

Snap On Cap - Installed by gently tapping it into the center of the wheel from the front with a rubber mallet.

Bolt-on/Screw On Cap - This type of cap bolts onto the wheel with screws and may use a bracket or retainer to keep it tight.

The most common way to measure center caps for wheels is by confirming the distance across the middle of the center hole from inside-to-inside. It is important to know if you need a snap on, pull-thru, or screw-on /bolt-on center cap as well. Another measurement you may need is the height of the center cap, if replacing one that will need to match the other center caps you have or to clear protruding vehicle parts.

The sizing of wheel trim rings is dependent on both the wheel diameter and the width. The wheel diameter is measured across the face from one end, across the middle, to the other end (not counting the wheel lip). The trim ring is measured from the furthest point, across the middle, to the other side. The width of trim rings typically range from 1.5" to 2.5". It is important to select a width that will fit the wheel based on the dish, with deeper centers using wider trim rings.
