B&M's all-aluminum SuperCooler Automatic Transmission Coolers are designed with stamped plates that are sandwiched together to create a very efficient oil cooling device. These coolers not only maximize cooling through more efficient heat dissipation, but they are also stronger to provide long-term, durable performance. B&M SuperCooler coolers will serve as protection against failure, whether you’re simply traveling to your next destination or racing to the finish line.

Automatic Transmission SuperCoolers are designed with a "Low Pressure Drop" feature that uses 3/8" hose barb ends with a unique bypass that allows a controlled amount of transmission fluid to bypass the stacked plate core when the fluid is cold. This is beneficial in cold climates to guard against lube system failure. Viscosity controls the transmission fluid and returns it directly to the lube circuit through bypass openings in the stacked plate core. To provide optimal heat transfer and protect against lube system failure, more transmission fluid is directed through the core as the temperature increases.

Universal SuperCoolers contain 1/2" NPT fittings and are adaptable to steel braided lines and AN fittings. These plate and fin coolers are 1-1/2" thick for extreme efficiency. Suitable for all fluid cooling needs including: automatic transmission fluid, engine oil, differential fluid, power steering and turbocharger oil in circle track, road racing, off-road, tractor pulling and monster truck applications.

    Features:
  • Stacked Plate Design
  • Lightweight, All-Aluminum Construction
  • Fin and Plate Design
  • Pressure Tested
  • Mounting Bracket Is Built Right Into Cooler

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great Bought this to use as an after cooler on a new air compressor to cool air before it goes into the tank, thus reducing condensation. Haven't had a drop of water out of the tank yet. I really didn't expect such great results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built and fair priced. I wanted an engine oil cooler for my Detroit 6.2L diesel - that wasn't in the radiator. I looked around at both product and vendor choices. I'm pleased with both. The oil cooler is quite sturdy with no thin, fins that get bent over when a fly or gnat run into them. This is tough enough it doesn't worry me to clean it with a direct blast from the pressure washer. The 1/2-inch NPT in and out meant it was easy to adapt to whatever size and type of line I wanted. I rather liked the flange on both sides for mounting. It's easy to put 2, or 3, or more screws on each side to hold it in place. It is mounted in front of the radiator, plumbed with 10AN hose (from JEGS too), and seems to be doing a good job. The manual does say the cooler should be mounted with the inlet/outlet pipes on top, or on the sides - not with both pointed straight down, which was my original plan. I'm not sure of the reason, maybe air getting trapped at the top diminishing cooling? Hopefully the folks writing the manual know their business

Can it mount laying down? Or must it be vertical?

    Asked by: Milans
This needs to be vertical as it needs air flowing thru it.
