I have a 1972 Corvette, i want to use the stock intake manifold due to hood clearance issues and I want to retain the stock look.  Is that possible with the heads used on this block or can you propose one of your other engines that will work that way?

    Asked by: Chris1969
The aluminum cylinder heads that we have on this engine will accept both a early style 12 bolt intake and the later model 8 bolt intake. As long as you have a stock height intake manifold your stock hood should work no problem.

What is the advertised duration & duration @ 50, is the camshaft a regrind or a new camshaft, what make camshaft Lunati or Comp can?

    Asked by: Rodney 1955
The duration at 50 is 229 on the intake and 230 on the exhaust. This cam is a new camshaft that we grind here inhouse, so it is our own BluePrint Engines camshaft.

Can I use a smaller harmonic balancer like a 6.75 inch instead of the 8inch blueprint recommends. If it can be used will a smaller balancer harm the engine.

    Asked by: mike317
You absolutely can use the smaller diameter balancer, when you make that switch you will need to change out the timing tab as well. The timing tab that we send on all of our engines is for a 8" diameter balancer only. Also be sure that the balancer you use on this engine is internally balanced.

Are these 355 chevy small block are rebuild or brand new? And what's the cam lifted. Thanks

    Asked by: Chevyz7129
The block that we use for these engine builds would be a stock remanufactured Chevy 350 block. The cam that we use in this engine will have a .480 Intake Lift / .486 Exhaust Lift.
