    Asked by: 2Goforth
Yes your cylinder heads would work on this shortblock, you will need to get a new intake an exhaust system because this block is a tall deck.

Can I use the valve train, heads, intake, water pump, and distributor from my ‘71 Mark IV big block on this engine? Can I use a mechanical fuel pump with this block?

    Asked by: Mushrat
Yes the parts that you have on your engine now will work on this big block as well. Also the block is drilled for a factory mechanical fuel pump, you just need to be sure the cam that you install also has a lobe for the fuel pump push rod.

This particular engine is designed and intended for a naturally aspirated application only. If any type of power adder were used it would automatically void our engine warranty.
