Initial start-up is the most critical time in the life of any camshaft. Comp Cams has taken great pains to develop what they feel is the best protective break-in camshaft lubricant on the market. Camshaft lube must be spread generously on all lobes of the cam, on the bottoms of the lifters, and on the distributor gear when installing a cam. This is the instant protection you need to guard against any premature wear.

With this lube , can the engine sit for six monyhs before intitial startup?

    Asked by: JDalby
Yes,if the motor must sit for this period the lube will still hold to the cam.
