    CC64TB is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1966 Thunderbird radiator Package arrived with the box dented as well as the radiator into the veins. Called Jegs and let them know. They were very accommodating and assured me they would have someone pick up the damaged one within a few days and have another one to me within 3 day. Well done, Jegs. Arrived perfect and my car is back on the road!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quality radiator, poor fit Great quality radiator! The only 2 issues are that the top 2 holes do not line up, so you have to drill new holes and install nutserts. Also if you have to hook up the transmission cooler they do not give you any fittings. Make sure you order them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality Radiator but not a direct fit This radiator appears to be very high quality but like the other reviews, I can confirm that it is NOT a direct fit. It does have the correct dimensions and the bottom bolt holes do line up but, nothing lines up on the top mounting points. If you are handy at all, it is possible to fabricate (or drill) new mounting locations to make it work and eventually look factory installed. Also, the transmission cooling lines will not connect to the radiator fittings without adaptors. That should be pointed out in the ordering information and provided as part of the product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice radiator, but mounting holes were off I purchased this radiator for my 64' Thunderbird and the upper mounting holes didn't line up. I called the tech guy at Champion and told them and they said that they must have gotten the wrong info for that car. They offered to fix the holes if I would mark it and send it to them. I did the work myself as I had the tools to do the job. The lower holes lined up perfectly, the transmission lines were right too and it is a nice looking radiator. The reason for the 3 stars is because it wasn't as advertised to be a direct fit. Also the rivet nuts are metric threads, so I had to use metric fasteners for the lower mounting bracket. The quality looks great though and it was a good price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works great. So my 66 T-Bird was overheating with the AC on. I decided to install an aluminum radiator. It is sold as an exact replacement. Not sure about that. The bottom mounts were correct. Good thing I'm a good fabricator though, because the top mounts were not even close. I did fix that part, got it installed, and the motor runs cooler than ever before. Won't overheat at all now. So in the end, it works.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Champion radiator well made but didn't fit the Tbird you said is was made for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does Not Direct Fit 64 T Bird The radiator itself is of quality material it looks like. But the advertisement that it is a direct replacement of the factory radiator is not true. The transmission cooler lines are almost exactly 2 inches further apart than stock. I am having to fabricate longer cooler lines to reach the inlet and outlet for Transmission Fluid.

what transmission cooler adapters are needed for a 1966 Thunderbird with a 428?

    Asked by: 1982cbx
This radiator has 1/4" NPT female fittings and any adapter with that thread will work depending on you transmission cooler lines.
