    Locking Tie Tool

This specialty tool works with all popular styles of stainless ties up to 1.2" wide. Made with hardened tool steel and black oxide coated for years of trouble free use.

    Specifications:

    Manufacturer's Part Number:
    010220

Locking ties are perfect for securing wrap to pipes with its self-locking design. Locking ties offer many other uses including bundling wires, hoses and other forms of insulation products. Just slide end into locking mechanism and pull tight.

Tightening locking ties just got easier with DEI's easy to use locking tool. Both lightweight and strong locking ties can take a lot of abuse but are sometimes hard to work with. This is why DEI developed their locking tie tool. Simply slide the tool on the end of any 1/4" nut driver, engage the tie, and twist. This gets the tie nice and secure without any hassle.

  • 010220 - DEI Stainless Steel Exhaust Wrap Locking Ties & Tool is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it’s supposed to. If you buy the DEI wrap kit with the silicone spray and snap straps, it comes with one of these tools. No need to buy this separate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality product except for the zip ties. I bought the DEI Titanium exhaust wrap for my Corvette. The instructions say to keep it tight as you wrap. I was having issues with doing that with only two hands. I used a clamp to hold the start end and proceeded from there. I haven't driven the car yet due to other work being performed on it, but DEI insulating products have a great reputation. That's why I bought this. However, the stainless locking ties that came with the kit are too small for my pipes. I went to a local auto parts store and purchased their larger size ties. In trying to tighten them using the supplied tool, they came apart. I was able to get only two of them reasonably tight without them failing as seen in the photos. I finally went to Lowes and found all-stainless hose clamps in a pack of six for ten bucks and used them. This is the only reason that can't give this product five stars. As usual, Jegs service was superb. I got my stuff within about 48 hours.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor design Wouldn't recommend this tool or the stainless ties, they do not get tight.
