    5093 - Edelbrock E-Street Cylinder Heads is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problem after problem Here's yet another reason to dislike these 9053 heads. Well. other that their NOT stainless steel valves as claimed. (only exhaust are Stainless steel) NO three angel grind as claimed. I had 3 Leaky valves, All ports needed cleaning, milling with porting tool. Valve springs NOT ready for .600 lift cam - barely strong enough to (break-in) a .488 lift cam. The rocker bar towers had to be machined down on the end towers to accept PRW roller rockers. The only reason I switched to roller rockers was because the valve tips varied in height so bad I was afraid the motor wouldn't run right. So, I had to go with roller rockers. Brand new stock rockers had to go on the shelf. And the final slap in the face today is that I find out my custom Tall Aluminum valve covers (with long bolt design) won't work w/ these heads because Edelbrock drilled the valve cover bolt holes at the wrong angle. So far, these heads have cost me an extra $580 in parts and at least 10 hours in repair and modification labor just to make them acceptable. Take a look at this pic...If u have valve covers like this ( with long bolts) they WON'T work on Edelbrock 5093 heads. That part # is probably burned into my memory forever! I will never buy another set of Edelbrock heads. Any other brand has got to have better quality.
