Rated 4 out of 5 by from got the job done I bought this a month ago to use on a little ford courier pickup project with a 302. The pump is much shorter than any factory ford pump, making this swap feasible. The problem i had was after install the gasket between the backing plate and the pump blew out the bottom. This is the gasket that comes installed on the pump, when i pulled it apart you could see were the rather narrow gasket had warped down. Good pump i would just pull the backing plate off and check gasket alignment before install, Most of these have probably been on a shelf for a long time. P.S this pump can be used with the standard 289 timing cover.
