Rated 1 out of 5 by from The solenoid was low quality plastic and cracked when I tightened the battery cable. I bought a replacement from NAPA that cost $10 more than the whole kit but the quality was worth it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic body/casing broke The body of the solenoid was plastic and cracked when I went to tighten down the battery cable. This caused the switch to engage making the part unusable. I Had to buy another one from a local auto store that had a metal/aluminum body

What amperage is this rated for?

Asked by: chass
This is not rated for continuous amperage but it will handle up to 300 amps/peak. Most mini starters use between 250-300 amps while cranking.
