- This JEGS Performance Transmission has gone through rigorous testing to provide you with the best possible replacement transmission
- Here are a few tips to ensure a successful installation
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions thoroughly
- Before installation, flush any old fluid from your system, including transmission lines, oil cooler, and torque converter to remove any contaminants that could harm your new transmission
- When installing your torque converter, follow the instructions carefully to ensure proper fitment into the transmission input shaft and also attaching to your engine. Specific tolerances are required so that you do not damage the front pump in the transmission or the converter.
- This Unit only works in vehicles with a 15 Pin wiring harness connector
- The shifter bracket is not included
- JEGS 555-603022 4L65E transmission can also be used in an older vehicle when converting to an electronically-controlled overdrive transmission. The conversion to older vehicles will require the use of a transmission controller, crankshaft spacer, special cross-member, driveshaft changes, and other modifications (all sold separately).

As soon as I made my first lap around the neighborhood it was slipping. After getting it professionally tuned and line pressure at 100% it still slips. I’m at a total of 7 miles and need to pull it out

3rd gear is slipping after 1 mile.
I bought this transmission for a LS swap in my 65 C10 that was to be my daily driver. After taking my first lap around the neighborhood it was slipping in 3rd. After getting my truck professionally tuned it’s still slipping with line pressure @ 100%. Fluids are good and the truck has 7 miles on the build.

Will this bolt up to a l92 with out spacer or any kind of notification

The Jegs 555-603022 transmission is a stock rebuild and works with all factory components requiring a 15-pin coinnector.

Hello, I am thinking of getting a LS3 crate engine. Is this the transmission I can use or do I need a 4L70E or what do I really need to have that will bolt up to that LS3? PSI conversions has a harness and controller that you can get a 15 pin or 17 pin

How many quarts of transmission fluid go in this transmission? I’ve seen 12 quarts but I have 10 quarts in it and it’s way passed the hot line being cold, but once hot it’s below the cold mark.
The Jegs 555-603022 transmission should be about 12 quarts with a stock pan and converter. This is check while hot and engine running.
