Chevy SFI Transmission Case
JEGS 60333 fully SFI 4.1 Approved Turbo 400 Transmission Case developed with high-performance racing in mind. We have spent extensive research and development hours picking up where the GM Engineers left off. Our priority was to eliminate the factory's weak links and invest in many positive improvements that have been made across the board to reduce case fatigue, case failure and accommodate the need for modern advancements in performance racing applications. These improvements consist of an extra-rigid, heavy-duty aluminum casting that eliminates the need for external protective shields and a redesigned center lug pattern that supports the pressure plate and snap ring entirely to remove the common failure against lack of support. It also includes a new heavy-duty snap ring for added strength. Our cases CNC machined front flange accepts the use of all front pump assemblies, planetary sets, and all industry-standard bolt-on bellhousings. Additional 1/8 pipe ports have been added for more precise pressure readings and maintained the ability to use a governor and speedometer if required. In the rear of the case, we replaced the factory thrust washer with a durable roller bearing design for added strength to support the output shaft. After years of testing and continued success, we assure you that this is the best investment you can make for any Turbo 400 Transmission build. Our transmission case carries a 5-year industry standard SFI rating of 4.1 and can be recertified at any time.
