Flexible Installation
Under tight component spacing, this dipstick takes care of all issues. I opted for inside fender mounting. Installation in the transmission was easy and leak-free with double o-ring seals. Looks good with other SS braided lines in the engine bay.

Nicely built, good quality.....but
I'm using this 555-615953 tranny dipstick with a 4L65e tranny.
The 2 o-rings that seal the bottom to the tranny leaked. After pulling things apart I found the o-rings were the wrong size. I replaced them with #113 viton o-rings which have a slightly thicker CS (that's wall thickness). It now has a tight fit.
I would have given it 5 starts if I didn't need to replace the o-rings and clean the leaks off the garage floor.

Needs work but decent for the price.
Installed on a 2001 2wd 4L60e. Build quality of the dipstick is good but it has a few flaws. The o rings for sealing the tube into the dipstick bore of the trans are too small to get proper sealing. Ended up removing the o rings and replacing them with thicker rings. The hex on the end of the dipstick tube is too big and interferes with the transmission case, I ended up grinding it down to allow it to fit. Also the funnel adapter that comes with it is garbage, I highly recommend getting a funnel with a very small tip in order to fill the transmission through the dipstick tube. Only reason why I rated it 3 stars is you can’t beat the price if you are willing to modify the tube a bit.

Did not fit 2001 4L60e 2WD
Purchased this item for a LS/4L60 swap with little engine bay room, the push fit would not fit my 4L60e from a 2WD 2001 Chevy 1500. the nut part of the fitting that goes into the pan was too large and would not clear the side of the trans case. I liked the quality of the piece but it may not fit all 4l60e transmissions.

2000 Blazer 4x4 LQ4 Swap - Stock 4L60E
I purchased this dipstick due to swapping engines and not finding a suitable replacement for the engine / transmission combination I am using. I noted the following when I received and installed the dipstick.
1. Funnel adapter machined incorrectly, does not fit in dipstick tube.
2. O-rings have a loose fit in transmission.
3. Needed to grind away casting boss on transmission for dipstick to fit. I was not going to grind the dipstick I just paid $45 for. Still needed to tap into transmission with a wooden dowel.
Overall, it was not easy to install and may leak due to poor fitting O-rings. It did not leak when putting the first 4 quarts of ATF in the transmission.
