Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compressor worked awesome! Tool worked great. I used it on a set of SBC Brodix heads to swap the #1 cylinder intake and exhaust springs with valvetrain test springs so i could determine the correct pushrod length. I was amazed at how easily it compressed the stiff springs. It also holds itself in the xcompressed state so you can use both hands to remove to keepers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great!! This is an excellent tool to remove valve springs when the head is on the engine. Some reviews I've read criticize it because when it's in the compressed position, the spring retainer tends to go off-center, due to the non-parallel relationship of the rocker stud to the valve stem. All you have to do to correct this is to move the retainer with a small screwdriver to center it on the valve stem to install the locks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tool The tool is perfect for valve spring removal and valve seal replacement. Once adjusted for compression, it locks the valve spring in a compressed position allowing easy removal of the valve stem locks and old seals. Installation of the new seals and locks are done with ease and confidence. I was able to replace all of the valve seals in approximately four hours with 100% success. Don’t skimp on a tool that can slip or cannot hold the components in place and not allow both hands to be free. Great tool for the money!
