Rated 1 out of 5 by from Manufacture's defect, pump broke immediately Rebuilt engine on '96 Dodge Ram with 5.9L Magnum. Decided to replace oil pump because the old pump was 15 years old-- old pump worked fine. Started the engine after completing rebuild. Did not have any oil pressure. Removed oil pan and the new pump. Female part of new oil pump's input shaft was shattered. Pump housing also cracked. I pre-lubed the pump before install. It looks like the female part of input shaft was larger than the original pump. Not sure if this particular pump was manufactured incorrectly or Jegs sent me a similar, but different model pump that looks identical to the original. Either way, this pump was a piece of junk and it wasted my time. I put the old pump back on. Everything operates within specs now. I need to return the new/useless pump Jegs sent me.
