Have a 66 L79 327 and wonder if this unit will clear the stock short water pump and if not what do I have to modify to make it work, thanks Jim

    Asked by: panzer07
It is designed to fit under a stock water pump but it will be very close. And not too make factory stock water pumps around anymore so all replacement pump housings will be different to a degree all giving a fit challenge. So we space the water pump out .312 to stand over the stock pump but depending on which replacement "stock pump" you have, you may had to clearance a little here and there.
