Fabricated covers exist because a cast or stamped cover flexes at the rail and weeps oil no matter how carefully you torque it. Welding a billet rail to a sheet aluminum body fixes that, and it drops weight at the same time. These are the closed-system version with no breather holes and no baffles, which is what a racer running a vacuum pump or a catch can actually wants.
