2" Drop Spindles for 1955-1957 Chevy Car. This spindles are specifically designed for use with a disc brake conversion. Baer and Wilwwod both offer kits for this spindle. Economy brake kits are also available using the early GM brake parts (Camaro/Chevelle) or the later GM brake parts (G Body/S-10).
Heavy-Duty Spindles
The RideTech spindle is a heavy duty forging that is approx. 1-3/4 in. taller (ball joint to ball joint) than the OEM spindle. This basic geometry change increases the camber gain during suspension compression (allows the tire to lean into the turn instead of away from the turn). The RideTech spindle also has a pin height that is 2 in. higher than the OEM spindle. This means that your car will sit 2 in. lower than it would with the OEM spindle.
