Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good unit I bought this unit for a short shaft water pump conversion because I mounted the 350 into my '76 Chevy luv. It is the perfect fit for this conversion. Good low mount. Holds the water alternator nice and straight. And the billet aluminum looks great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good product with a little modification I like this product. Good looking, good finish and god price. it fit onto the engine easily, but it holds the alternator out so far even at it's shortest setting that we had to shorten it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor fit My stock alternator bracket was one that mounted to the exhaust header. The bracket broke and I replaced my headers, so I needed something else that mounted to the head. With the adjustable rod and beefy mount, I thought this would make a good upgrade. If installed as designed, it will push the alternator out about 4" more than the stock bracket, nearly hitting the fender and requiring a different belt to work. On top of that, the the curved piece which mounts to the top of the alternator, didn't fit on my alternator (run of the mill, generic dull gray alternator). And the tie rod only has about a 1" adjustment, which wasn't enough adjustment to allow shortening the rod to get the belt on/off and allow proper tensioning. It is a sturdy design though and won't flex like to old one did. Longer tie rod ends and a shorter tie rod would be an improvement. This product will not work with the exhaust manifold that has mount points for the alternator as the mount points stick out past the front face of the head. They could be cut off to make this work though.
