Taylor Cable designed the THUNDERVOLT Sleeved Race Wire to deliver optimum performance for use in open wheel-body racing for additional heat protection, strength and durability. High-temperature Double-Layer Silicone-Impregnated Fiberglass Sleeving adds 8,000 volts of insulation while resisting heat, oil, abrasion (also easy to clean to maintain its vibrant color).

Utilizes Taylor's 8.2mm diameter 100% Silicone 2-layer Ignition Wire which eliminates cracking and voltage loss for greater reliability while extending the wire life. Features Taylor's ThunderVolt 40 ohm/ft FERRITE Spiral Wound Core Conductor that delivers the best spark energy available. Improves power, idle, and fuel efficiency while suppressing Electro Magnetic (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI).

Taylor Cable's ThunderVolt® S-50 has the same great features as the ThunderVolt® 8.2mm wire and is wrapped with a Hi-Temp Silicone Impregnated Fiberglass Sleeving. It is designed and engineered for extreme racing and is an excellent choice for open wheel and dirt applications where additional shock and voltage insulation is required. Each wire is terminated and has double locking spring terminals with 100% silicone boots. Shrink tubing bonded at each end completes wire-to-boot sealing and each is earmarked with its respective cylinder number to ensure correct firing order in installation. The Sleeved-50 features a Ferrite spiral wound core at 50 Ohms per foot to deliver low resistance for RFI and EMI suppression and is compatible with multiple spark discharge systems, on-board computers, electronic ignitions, and the external HEI cap magnetos for small block and big block Chevrolet.

Note: Sleeved 50 is available in black only for "Over the Valve Cover" or "Under Header" applications
