The air bleed pipe seal closes the joint where the coolant bleed pipe meets the thermostat housing area, a small seal that is easy to overlook during a cooling system service but that will weep coolant continuously if it is reused instead of replaced. This ACDelco seal is molded to the factory profile, restoring a tight coolant seal at the bleed pipe connection.
