Product DescriptionGM Genuine Parts Remanufactured Air Conditioning Compressors are designed, engineered, and tested to rigorous standards, and are backed by General Motors. These Remanufactured A/C Compressors pump refrigerant through the system. Remanufacturing A/C compressors is an automotive industry practice that involves the disassembly of existing units and replacing components that are most prone to wear with new components. Damaged and obsolete parts are replaced and are end of line tested to ensure they perform to GM specifications. In addition, remanufacturing returns components back into service rather than processing as scrap or simply disposing of them. The compressor is typically engine driven via the accessory belt and a clutch on the compressor is used to engage and disengage the compressor.
