The NV4500 is the five-speed most GM builders want for its granny-low first gear and torque capacity, and this adapter plate is what allows a Dodge NV4500 to bolt behind a Chevy bellhousing with a 5.125 in. index. Machined from 356-T6 heat-treated aluminum alloy at 0.750 in. thick, it keeps the added length minimal so driveshaft and crossmember changes stay small.
Advance Adapters 712550 Compatibility Notes:
- Adapts a Dodge NV4500 transmission to a Chevy bellhousing with a 5.125 in. index.
- Transmission must have a 1.125 in. input shaft diameter.
- Will not work with the larger 1.250 in. input shaft used on heavy-duty units.
- 356-T6 heat-treated aluminum alloy adapter plate, 0.750 in. long, with a custom pilot bushing.
- Mounting hardware included, no welding required. Sold as a kit.
