Automobiles in the 21st century have replaced the more conventional throttle cable technology for an ECM (Electronic Control Module) that translates pedal travel into electronic signals in order to provide power to the wheels. AFE's Sprint Boosters are for the enthusiasts that seek improved drivability but without the hassle of tuning. Sprint Boosters modify the signal between the accelerator pedal module and the electronic throttle body, encouraging the throttle body to open "more" than what the stock signal was providing at a given pedal position. The end result is the idle-to-full-throttle pedal travel is reduced, which gives your vehicle a feel of more power because the given pedal input produces greater throttle opening. Sprint Boosters can be used with other tuners/programmers due to its ability to work independently from other modifications.
