Slowing the accessory drive on an LS-based Corvette or GTO frees up power that would otherwise go into spinning the alternator, power steering and A/C compressor faster than the engine needs. This damper combines a 25 percent underdrive on the main accessories with a 10 percent underdrive on the A/C, so both drop in speed without a mismatched belt length.
