Performance Benefits & Key Features
When planning to upgrade your fuel injectors, there are some formulas you’ll have to keep in mind. First, be sure that the injectors are physically a fit for your engine, including their connector and body type. After being sure of proper fitment, determining the size of the injector will be dependent on the engine’s horsepower, the number of fuel injectors, induction type (turbo? Normally aspirated?) fuel type, brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) and max duty cycle of the injectors. Injector size and volume in cc/min = estimated horsepower x BSFC (about .50 x 10.5), divided by the number of fuel injectors, x the duty cycle (usually around .80).
