Your alternator is designed to put out a specific voltage, generally 13.8 volts. The only problem is when there's a greater demand on the electrical system, such as a WOT blast, the alternator falls a little short. The V-Plus is designed to overcome voltage taper at WOT by stepping up the alternator voltage 2.2v. at 70% throttle. Result? More power to your fuel pump and ignition system. Unit plugs in, with no wires to cut or tap into. Includes hardware. NOTE: Your engine must have a ROUND TPS connector as seen in the illustration, AND the early style Alternator Connector - 1992-1997
- Your charging system is designed to maintain normal battery voltage under ''normal'' conditions. However, when you modify your ride with upgraded injectors, fuel pump, and ignition systems, you need more power. The top of the engine RPM scale is where it's needed most.
The VPlus is designed to ''plug-and-play'' into your GM vehicle and provide around 2 extra volts to the electrical system at wide-open-throttle. This gives your engine more power for a hotter, more efficient spark in your ignition system. It also keeps the fuel pump at its peak performance level to maintain proper fuel pressure and volume.
Note: Drive-by-wire applications not available. Can be used in conjunction with the fuel pump wiring upgrade kits.
