SB-1036RA Rear Sway Bar for 1936 Chevy Standard. This is an excellent way to improve handling and overall drivability and eliminates road sway. Axle mounted. All linkage and mounting hardware included.

Installation Instructions for SB-1036RA Rear Sway Bar for 1936 Chevy Standard:

Swaybar should be used with Chassis Engineering rear-end mounting kit for best results. Bar fits 8 in. Ford, small housing 9 in. Ford, Chevrolet 10 and 12 Bolt and many other rear-ends.

Note: This bar will fit a great many different cars. Since it bolts to the rear-end, it is fairly easy to mount, requiring only the fabrication of the linkage mounts to the frame.

1. Bolt bar to the bottom of the rear axle as shown below. Make sure it is centered side to side. The drawing shows a bolt-on bracket, which may vary slightly in appearance. The ends extend forward under the axle, the dip goes down.

2. Clamp frame mounts for linkage in place as shown in the drawing. Left and Right are mirros. Make sure the mount is straight before drilling holes. Make sure the linkage is at 90 degrees to linkage.

3. After locating the mounting point, clamp the bar to the bottom frame lips and drill mounting holes using the mount as a drill guide. Bolt it in place.

4. Assemble linkage and finish the installation as shown below.

Note: Use of lowering blocks may cause the shocks and bar to hit. In this case the bar must also be lowered on the rear end.
