SB-1037PM Front Sway Bar for 1937-1939 Chevy (Pinto Mustang IFS)
- Front Sway Bar
- For 1937-1939 Chevy (Pinto Mustang IFS)
Chassis Engineering SB-1037PM Features:
SB-1037PM Front Sway Bar for 1937-1939 Chevy (Pinto Mustang IFS). This is an excellent way to improve the handling and overall driveability of the top-heavy chevrolets. Elimates road sway. For best results use front and read bars together. All linkage and mounting hardware furnished.
If you are using non-Chassis Engineering full lower A-arms (no strut rods), please include part AU-0010PMA (link) with your order of your Pinto Mustang Swaybar for no additional cost. We will substitute weld-on sway bar mounting tabs in place of the regular Pinto Mustang mounting brackets.
Note: Because these parts are often used together, the directions below include reference to AU-2254 Radiator Support, which is available as a separate product. The radiator support is NOT included with the sway bar kit. The radiator support mentioned in the directions below is recommended, but not required for installation of this sway bar.
The directions below assume the use of a Chassis Engineering Bolt-on IFS cross member. If you are using a different IFS, some modifications might be needed.
Install radiator support AU-2254 in the position shown below. Drill all holes, install all bolts except the four that hold the sway bar, and tighten.
Now bolt sway bar in place. Note that the radiator support also has holes to mount the sway bar. Use the drawing as a guide.
If you are not using the radiator support, just bolt the sway bar mounts to the frame lip using the same measurements.
Bolt lower linkage mount to the lower control arm as shown below.Use the original Pinto bolts. Offset in lower mount should point forward.
