Chassis Engineering SB-1054PM Features:

SB-1054PM Front Sway Bar for 1949-1954 Chevy (Pinto Mustang IFS).This is an excellent way to improve the handling of the top heavy Chevy.

If you are using non-Chassis Engineering full lower A-arms (no strut rods), please include part AU-0010PM (link) with your order of your Pinto Mustang Swaybar. We will substitute weld-on sway bar mounting tabs in place of the regular Pinto Mustang mounting brackets.

Directions assume the use of a Chassis Engineering Bolt-on IFS crossmember. If you use something different, make appropriate modifications if needed.

Clamp sway bar and mounts to determine position on the frame lips.

The sway bar should be setup with full weight on the suspension.

Check bar movement to be sure that bar will not hit anything while under suspension movement.

Bolt lower linkage mount to lower arm assembly. Use bolts provided. Large hole in lower mount should point forward.

Drill all holes and install bolts and bolt sway bar in place.

Linkage must be straight up and down and not lean to any angle.

Assemble linkage as shown.
